Foro de Transporte Sostenible para América Latina

The Ministry of Transport of Colombia, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the United Nations Center for Regional Development (UNCRD).

The main objective of the FTS is to promote integration of environmentally sustainable transport in the overall policy, planning and development processes in Latin America. More specifically, the FTS aims to set in motion a regional mechanism and consultative process to share best practices, policy instruments, transport technologies and to promote collaborative and participatory efforts towards addressing emerging and issues of common concern related to transport.

The representatives of the national transport and environment agencies of Argentina, Brazil, the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay and Uruguay, gathered in Bogota, Colombia, on June 23 and 24, 2011, for the first Regional Forum on Sustainable Transport (FTS), agree to adopt the  Bogota  Declaration.
