SUTP - Sustainable Urban Transport Project
SUTP focuses on the diffusion, training and capacity building for decision-makers in urban transport planning and provision. It also assists city governments in planning and implementing sustainable urban transport projects.
TRANSfer – Transfer of Climate Friendly Technologies and Measures
The TRANSfer project aims at the facilitating climate protection strategies in the transport sector as Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs). To achieve this, a handbook “Navigating Transport NAMAs” will be developed.

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) is the German development cooperation and works to improve people's living conditions in developing countries. GIZ is hosting the Sustainable Urban Transport Project (SUTP). Its main objective is to assist developing world cities achieve their sustainable transport goals, through the dissemination of information about international experience, policy advice, training and capacity building and targeted work on sustainable transport projects within cities.
The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH was formed in January 2011. It brings together the long-standing expertise of the Deutscher Entwicklungsdienst (DED) GmbH (German Development Service), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH (German Technical Cooperation) and InWent – Capacity Building International, Germany, founded in 1975. GIZ has now offices in 130 countries and 17.000 employees.
