Kick-Off Meeting for Rio+20 Sustainable Transport Pledge Impact Assessment Initiative

This meeting will discuss the first phase of a global impact assessment of the MDB Rio+20 sustainable transport pledge and related voluntary commitments. ITDP, in collaboration with the Institute for Transportation Studies at University of California Davis (ITS-Davis), the International Energy Agency, and other members of the Partnership on Sustainable Low Carbon Transport, is organizing this meeting to guide the initial phase of this initiative. 

The goal of the Kick-Off Meeting is to bring together a small group of key stakeholders to brainstorm and build consensus on:

  1. working framework for the analysis process,
  2. near-term priorities and targets for the analytic process,
  3. input assumptions for scenarios,
  4. analytic methods to produced desired near-term impact evaluation outputs.
