DESCRIPTION:The first-ever Global Convening on Informal and Shared Mobility takes place from 26 to 28 October 2026 at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok\, Thailand. GloCon brings together 400+ researchers\, public officials\, practitioners\, workers\, and operators to build interdisciplinary understanding of informal and shared mobility systems\, with a particular focus on knowledge from and for the Global South. From matatus to tuk-tuks to jeepneys\, these services are the main mode of travel for hundreds of millions of people and are critical to achieving the SDGs and decarbonizing transport. The convening centres the people who run and depend on these systems as active partners in shaping fair\, inclusive\, and people-centred mobility futures. Registration is open.

SUMMARY:UNCTAD Global Supply Chain Forum 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Forum will bring together member states\, private sector representatives\, international and regional organizations\, non-governmental organizations\, academics\, and experts from around the world to exchange experiences\, identify policy options\, and consider practical measures to enhance the resilience\, sustainability\, and inclusiveness of transport and logistics systems. \nThis second edition builds on deliberations from the first UNCTAD GSCF\, held in Bridgetown\, Barbados in 2024 in collaboration with the Government of Barbados\, as well as the outcomes of an UNCTAD16 ministerial roundtable dedicated to supply chain issues. The Forum will further examine the impacts of supply chain disruptions on trade and development\, along with potential response measures. \nNotably\, the 2nd UNCTAD Global Supply Chain Forum will be held in conjunction with the Global Logistics Forum\, organized by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services.
