The Climate Ride: Cycling for the Future

Join the City of Warsaw, the city’s cycling community and delegates at the COP 19 Climate Summit for “The Climate Ride” on Saturday November 16th in Warsaw. (See alsohttps://www.facebook.com/events/1407032712866825/)
The Climate Ride is organised by the City of Warsaw, supported by SLOCAT and the European Cyclists’ Federation.
- To highlight the positive steps taken by the City of Warsaw to integrate cycling into its sustainable mobility planning.
- To support Transport Day at COP on November 17th.
- To enjoy the City of Warsaw by bicycle, sharing a break from conference proceedings and celebrating the role of the bicycle in sustainable mobility.
- Networking between supporters of sustainable transport at the local and global level.
Thanks to the invitation of the President of Warsaw Hanna Beata Gronkiewicz-Waltz delegates and visitors are invited to join the ride at Plac Bankowy at 11:30 where guests can collect free bicycles from Veturilo, the popular city bike sharing scheme of the city.
We will ride through Slasko-Dabrowski Bridge, Jagiellonska and Zamoyskiego streets and will end next to the COP venue Stadion Narodowy (Warsaw National Stadium) at 12:15 where there will be a short press conference.
To help us plan the event please register via the Transport Day on line registration or at the Transport Research Foundation (TRF) booth at COP. You can register for the Bike Ride even if you are not attending Transport Day.
