FIA Foundation Launch Global Initiative for Child Health and Mobility (CHMI)
The FIA Foundation aims to ensure safe, clean, fair, green mobility for all. As children are particularly affected by poor air quality – air pollution affects lung development, and is associated with cancer as well as cardiovascular and respiratory illnesses.
This is why FIA Foundation is launching the Global Initiative for Child Health and Mobility (CHMI). The initiative aims to support safe, accessible, low carbon mobility for every child. This includes a safe and health journey to school, and supports active travel in clean air and a healthy environment. It is a partnership that includes: UNICEF, UNEP, Save the Children, the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the Overseas Development Institute (ODI).
The Child Health and Mobility Initiative aims to be a catalytic partnership – combining evidence, capacity-building and advocacy. Please read more here.
