Smarter Than Car is a Think Tank for future urban mobility and post carbon urbanism. Our work includes research, curation, moderation, event-coordination, education and design across various scales. We see mobility as key factor for prosperous urban development in light of climate change and resource depletion. We investigate, develop, test and communicate new approaches for the layout and use of urban spaces and the organisation of mobility. Smarter Than Car was founded in 2010 in Beijing, China and is since 2012 as well operating from Vienna, Austria.
