SLoCaT and Bridging the Gap discuss transport with the DNA Forum

On behalf of SLoCaT and the BtG initiative Cornie Huizenga made a presentation to the DNA Forum (Designated National Authorities) which is a formal network of Annex 1 and non-Annex 1 countries on CDM) on transport and NAMAs in developing countries. While transport represents less than 1% of all emission reductions under CDM, over 50% of all NAMA proposals submitted since January of 2010 include a transport component. SLoCaT and BtG expect to be working with the DNA Forum in the future on a better integration of transport under CDM as well as on the development of recommendations on implementation guidelines for NAMAs.
