Since Rio+20 UNDESA, UNHabitat and members of SLoCaT have been holding consultations on Transport in the post-2015 Development Agenda and possible formulations for a goal and targets supporting the multiple benefits and linkages of transport to economic growth including decent employment and poverty eradication as well as health, wellbeing and environment.
On January 7, 2014 a Review Meeting on Results Framework on Sustainable Transport was organized as a side event to the 7th Session of the Open Working Group on Sustainable Development Goals. This session brought out the outcomes of these consultations to date and a draft Results Framework for Sustainable Transport supported by UNHabitat, GIZ and DFID.
