The Global Mobility Transformation needs YOU!

SLoCaT, the Partnership on Sustainable, Low Carbon Transport, is leading the elaboration of the 2020 edition of the Transport and Climate Change Global Status Report (TCC-GSR), a flagship report on climate change and transport. The inaugural edition of the TCC-GSR in 2018 covered various data-sets (e.g. passenger and freight volumes, CO2 emissions from transport, projections and data to measure progress on sustainable transport) and identified more than 180 sustainable transport policies from 70 countries (see examples below).

To date, the 2018 TCC-GSR has been downloaded over 2,000 times, reaching people in over 95 countries. Findings of the report have been presented at the 24th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP24), Transforming Transportation 2019, and other events.

SLoCaT is ramping up efforts towards the second edition of the TCC-GSR in 2020, which is intended to include more comprehensive data sets and policy examples.  In this context, we are seeking to establish a global network of national focal points, who are local or regional experts that volunteer to provide information about a certain country or region (e.g. walking and cycling in Ethiopia, e-mobility in Latin America). Any data shared by national focal points will be included in the Transport Knowledge Base (TraKB), SLoCaT’s central database that compiles available data on sustainable transport from a broad range of data sources. The TraKB is being published together with the TCC-GSR, making most of the publicly-available data accessible to readers and policy-makers.

We need YOU as national focal point!

We are in the process of identifying national focal points on an ongoing basis, with major activities to be conducted in early 2020. Every contributor will be mentioned in the acknowledgements section of the TCC-GSR 2020, and will be informed about the progress of the TCC-GSR (e.g. development, peer-review, webinars, events etc.) as well as opportunities to engage in sustainable transport events in your region or country.

Invitación para ser Punto Focal Nacional para el Informe Global de Transporte y Cambio Climático (TCC-GSR por sus siglas en inglés)

¡La transformación global de la movilidad te necesita!

SLoCat el Parteneriado para el Transporte Sostenible y de Bajas Emisiones de Carbono lidera la elaboración del Informe Global del Estado del Transporte y Cambio Climático (TCC-GSR), por sus siglas en inglés. La primera edición del TCC-GSR en 2018 arrojó datos específicos sobre el sector (por ej. volúmen de pasajeros y carga, emisiones de CO2 por modo de transporte, proyecciones y datos para medir progreso hacia el transporte sostenible) e identificó más de 180 enfoques de políticas públicas llevados a cabo por parte de 70 países. A día de hoy, esta edición inaugural del TCC-GSR ha sido descargada en unas 2,000 ocasiones en más de 95 países y sus hallazgos han sido presentados durante la Conferencia de Cambio Climático COP24 o la Conferencia Anual “Transforming Transportation”, entre otros.

SLoCaT está intensificando esfuerzos de cara a la la segunda edición del TCC-GSR en 2020, con el objetivo de incluir un mayor y mejor número de datos y políticas públicas. En este contexto, estamos estableciendor una red global de Puntos Focales Nacionales del TCC-GSR. Los Puntos Focales Nacionales son expertos locales o regionales que voluntariamente proveen información sobre un determinado país o una región (por ej. información acerca de viajes a pie y en bicicleta en Etiopía, electro movilidad en América Latina, etc.). La contribución de estos expertos será reconocida al incluir sus nombres y organización de afiliación en la sección de reconocimientos y agradecimientos del TCC-GSR 2020.

Además, todos los datos compartidos serán incluidos en la Base de Conocimiento de Transporte (TraKB por sus siglas en inglés), la base central de datos de SLoCaT que combina datos disponibles sobre transporte sostenible. TraKB será publica junto con el TCC-GSR 2020, de manera tal que la la mayoría de los datos disponibles sean accesibles para todos los lectores y encargados de tomar decisiones de políticas públicas.

¡Te necesitamos como Punto Focal Nacional!

Tenemos como objetivo seleccionar Puntos Focales Nacionales de manera continua, con las actividades principales previstas para ejecución a principios de 2020. No pierda la oportunidad de contribuir al TCC-GSR y ofrecer sus conocimientos técnicos en el campo del transporte sostenible y bajo en carbono a un informe que será descargado miles de veces alrededor del mundo. Cada contribución será mencionada en la sección de reconocimientos y agradecimientos del TCC-GSR, i Asimismo, cada colaborador/a será informado/a acerca del progreso del TCC-GSR (desarrollo, revisión por pares, webinarios, eventos, etc.) y oportunidades de participar en eventos sobre transporte sostenible en su región o país.
