The SLoCaT Partnership has facilitated the addition of six additional Voluntary Commitments to those made at the Rio+20 conference in June of 2012. The new commitments will make it possible for the transport community and other developmental partners to better observe and track how the sector develops and what the impact of policies and measures will be on the sustainability of the transport sector at the global, national or local level.
Six Additional Voluntary Commitments on Sustainable Transport:
- CAF-Development Bank of Latin America: Urban Mobility Observatory (UMO)
- International Energy Agency: Tracking Environmentally Sustainable Transport (TEST)
- Institute for Transportation and Development Policy: Evaluating Impacts of Sustainable Transport Voluntary Commitments
- United Nations Economic Commission for Europe: Climate Change Adaptation for International Transport Networks (CCAITN)
- United Nations Economic Commission for Europe: For Future Inland Transport Systems (ForFITS)
- United Nations Economic Commission for Europe: UN-ECE Road Safety Activities
