Celebrating the Arrival of TRT Trasporti e Territorio to the SLOCAT Partnership

We are thrilled to announce that the TRT Trasporti e Territorio has joined the SLOCAT Partnership. TRT is an independent consultancy, with offices in Milan and Brussels, specialised in mobility and transport economics, planning and modelling. Founded in 1992, the company has a solid reputation in consulting and research and development to support public and private decision-makers on sustainable urban mobility policies, mobility as a service, Information Technology applications, energy efficiency of transport systems, reduction of climate-changing emissions, gender mobility, etc.

TRT is specialised in the development of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs) for several cities at both Italian and international level. It was also involved in the drafting of the European Guidelines on SUMPs and currently chairs the European Coordinating Group of the European Platform for SUMPs. Since 2008, TRT has been involved in the EU-funded CIVITAS initiative for sustainable urban mobility in European cities, and will be responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of CIVITAS projects during the 2023-2027 period.

TRT has expertise in the analysis and assessment of policies aimed at energy efficiency and GHG emission reduction, but also in the preparation of transport external costs internalization studies, and the development of innovation strategies in the mobility sector.

Joining the SLOCAT Partnership corresponds to TRT’s wish to cooperate further beyond the European level towards the global level. TRT will be able to contribute with data, case studies, peer review activities, technical inputs, trainings, speakers, and advocacy messaging.

“We are very happy to have joined the SLOCAT partnership, which offers TRT the unique opportunity to contribute to the development of sustainable and inclusive mobility at a global level. We look forward to collaborating and engaging with the various partners and experts from SLOCAT.”

– Silvia Maffii, Managing Director, and Angelo Martino, Chairman, TRT

“We are excited to see TRT bringing its 30 years of valuable expertise on transport and mobility matters to our partnership. We look forward to facilitate TRT’s collaboration with our partners and shape the future of transport globally, not just at European level, and speak with one strong voice.”

– Maruxa Cardama, SLOCAT Secretary General
