The symposium is jointly organized by the European Institute for Sustainable Transport and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung and takes place on October 6^th 2014 at the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, Hiroshimastraße 17, Berlin. The symposium will highlight challenges in the urban transport sector and focus on the need for a paradigm shift in transport policy and planning in Africa towards more balanced and sustainable investments in transport infrastructure and services as well as institutional planning capacities in municipalities.

The event is on invitation only – please submit your request to heinrich@eurist.info no later than September 30th.
