Asia-Pacific Forum on Public-Private Partnerships for Transport Infrastructure Development

Organized by United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), the Asia-Pacific Forum on Public-Private Partnerships for Transport Infrastructure Development will address the issue of the substantial and growing demand for transport infrastructure, services and maintenance in the region that is constrained by limited budgets and borrowing capacity. It will be designed to exchange information and share experiences on how to involve efficiently the private sector in the financing and development of transport infrastructure, services and maintenance. The meeting will explore how public-private partnerships can offer an alternative funding option and procurement method for financing and implementing projects.

Participants will be government officials from transport agencies and ministries with representatives from national PPP Units, the private sector, and regional PPP experts.
