With support from the Office of the President and key ministries, the Colombian TOD NAMA is poised to transform Colombian cities by focusing urban development around transit stations, blending low-income and market-rate housing with commercial uses to create neighborhoods where people can safely walk, live, work, shop and play. The NAMA will link national funding for low-income housing and urban mass transit, cut GHG emissions, bolster the economy and create a 21st century model of urban development.

The Commission for Global Road Safety marked the start of United Nations Global Road Safety Week by launching the Make Roads Safe Report at the High Level Policy Forum in St. Petersburg, Russia. The Russian Federation has been playing a leading role in advancing global action on road safety and was instrumental in the adoption of United Nations Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011-2020.
