Africa Transport Policy Forum

The first Africa Transport Policy Forum that will take place in Dakar, Senegal, from December 10 to 11, 2013. The forum is a 2-day learning event that will give participants a unique opportunity to learn about and discuss high-priority transport policy issues in Africa. This event will be open to all interested participants.
After careful consideration of other events in Africa in the transport sector in 2013 and taking account of the focus areas proposed for the Third Development Plan of the SSATP (2014-2018), the Africa Transport Policy Forum would be structured around the following topics base:
Day 1: Governance / SSATP Flagship Projects
- Transport Governance in Africa
- Spearheading Transport Policy Development in Africa – An Overview of SSATP Flagship Projects
Day 2: The Sustainability Factor – Towards Clean and Safe Transport for African Countries
- Presentation of the Environmentally Sustainable Transport Forum for Africa 2014 (EST-Africa)
- Mitigating the impact of and adapting to Climate Change
- Creating the proper environment for making roads safe in Africa
