The 21st meeting of the Conference of Parties (COP21), of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in December 2015 in Paris, France is scheduled to result in an ambitious global agreement that can guide the global community in (more) ambitious action on climate change. The Partnership on Sustainable Low Carbon Transport (SLoCaT) together with Michelin Challenge Bibendum (MCB) have taken the initiative to come up with the idea of a platform, where existing and new initiatives on sustainable transport can come together to give greater visibility to sustainable transport in global policy making on climate change and thereby increase the likelihood that COP21 will result in an acceleration of action on low carbon mobility. The Proposed name of this platform is Paris Process on Mobility and Climate Change (PPMC). For more information on the PPMC, please see the Concept Note on Paris Process on Mobility and Climate.
The PPMC will hold its first stakeholder meeting on March 26th between 09.00 – 12.00 in Palais Brongniart (former Paris Stock Exhcange) in Paris, France. The objectives of the Paris stakeholder meeting are:
