CLATPU Congress 2014

The Latin American Public Transportation Association (ALATPU) organized the 18th CLATPU Congress on October 20-24 2014.  The theme of this year's congress was be "Sustainable Transport, the Challenge for the 21st Century".

EcoMobility Alliance Workshop

Each Alliance City Workshop is centered at one city, bringing other Alliance Cities and Partners to the host city to provide input on a specific project or initiative or challenge in the host city. Expert partners design relevant workshops and provide relevant feedback on the topic, thus this knowledge exchange will also be highly beneficial to other participating cities.

REN21 Renewables Academy 2014

2014 marked both the 10th anniversary of REN21 as well as a decade of rapid changes on the renewable energy front. In celebration of these milestones, REN21 held its first Renewables Academy, dedicated exclusively for REN21’s contributor community. The event was held at the World Conference Center in Bonn from 10-12 November.

The Michelin Challenge Bibendum 2014

After traveling for the first time to Rio de Janeiro in 2010, then to Berlin for the 2011 edition, the Michelin Challenge Bibendum is returning to China for its 2014 edition, which will take place in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan, from November 11 to 14.

The Michelin Challenge Bibendum is an innovative and collaborative think and action tank aimed at promoting better life through sustainable mobility. It is nurtured by two complementary initiatives:

Course on sustainable urban mobility in developing countries in French language

GIZ, together with United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) will run its first course on sustainable urban mobility in developing countries in French language. The course will take place from 24 Nov 2014 - 27 Feb 2015, including a two-week break for Christmas. The course aims to enhance the capacity of local decision makers and urban and transportation planners to formulate and implement appropriate policies that contribute to sustainability in urban transport in developing countries.
