During the SSATP annual meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the concept of the ESTF was presented to representatives from the transport sector from 27 countries, 3 regional economic communities, African institutions, the private sector, the civil society and nine development partners.

Valuing Transportation-Related Data
This panel session will explore the critical roles data plays in effective transport planning, current data program needs and gaps, and ways to better communicate the value of data programs to decision-makers and the general public.
These two panel sessions will discuss international experience with transport data program development, lessons learned, and best practices. Experts will describe their programs and discuss a strategic vision for improving data programs and international cooperation.
