Velo-city Global is the world's premier international cycling planning conference. The four day event offers delegates from around the world a chance to share best practices for creating and sustaining cycling-friendly cities, where bicycles are valued as part of daily transport and recreation.
The City of Vienna is pleased to be hosting the Velo-city conference from June 11th to 14th, 2013! „The Sound of Cycling – Urban Cycling Cultures“ marks Vienna as the focal point for cycling experts and (bi)cycling enthusiasts from around the world.
Velo-city is the European Cyclists' Federation (ECF)’s annual global summit on cycling. Velo-city is an ECF brand. The Velo-city conference series serves as the major global platform for the exchange of visions, knowledge, expertise skills and good practice on cycling as part of daily transport and recreation and on cycling related policies.
Velo-city 2016 will be hosted from February 27 to March 1 2016. Velo-city Global 2016 will focus on discussing the profound impact of the evolution of cycling.
Velo-city began in 1980 in Bremen, Germany with deep ties in the founding of the European Cyclists’ Federation. Since then conferences have been held in cities including Copenhagen, Brussels, Barcelona and Montreal. Velo-city conferences are now attracting about 1,000 delegates.
