The Inter-American development bank (IDB) has released a publication on climate change covering the Latin America and Carribean (LAC) region on risk management for the transportation sector.
Delegates at the World Health Assembly adopted a resolution to address the health impacts of air pollution – the world’s largest single environmental health risk. Every year 4.3 million deaths occur from exposure to indoor air pollution and 3.7 million deaths are attributable to outdoor air pollution. “This is a major landmark,” said Dr Maria Neira, WHO Director for Public Health, Environmental and Social Determinants of Health.
Transport for London (TfL), a public-private partnership responsible for London’s massive transport network, has issued a £400m ($596m) green bond. The bond has 10-year tenor and a coupon of 2.125%. The bond was rated AAA by S&P. Underwriters were Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank.
