INSTITUTE OF URBAN TRANSPORT (INDIA) was established in May, 1997 as a premier professional non-profit making organization and registered under the Societies Registration Act. The membership of the Institute comprises Academicians, Architects, Economists, Engineers, Transport Planners, Town Planners and professionals from various disciplines. The Institute has as on 29th July, 2010, the Institute has 57 institutional members and 1131 individual members.
The Institute for Transportation and Development Policy works with cities worldwide to bring about transport solutions that cut greenhouse gas emissions, reduce poverty, and improve the quality of urban life.
The Institution for Transport Policy Studies is an independent, non-profit foundation established under the auspices of the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. The activities of the Institution involve comprehensive research and survey programs on transport matters. The Institution also evaluates transport policy and offers recommendations to the Japanese government and concerned parties on transport policy issues.
The Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), established under an initiative of the Japanese government in 1998, is an international research institute conducting practical and innovative research for realising sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) is the German development cooperation and works to improve people’s living conditions in developing countries. GIZ is hosting the Sustainable Urban Transport Project (SUTP).
Established in 2006, with the support of Volvo Research and Educational Foundations, The China Urban Sustainable Transport Research Center (CUSTReC) strives to be a national, regional, and international Center of Excellence for research and development, communication & dissemination, and education & training in future urban transport.
The implementation of the Law No. 32 year 2004 about local government has provided new perspective for area development model in Indonesia. The Law provides larger freedom for regions in cultivating its own area with the expectation of achieving optimum development based on each region’s characteristics and specialization.
CTS Mexico is a Non-Governmental Organization which is non-profit, non-party and guided by a Board of Directors made up of personalities recognized by their commitment to the quality of life of Mexicans. CTS Mexico forms part of the network of Centers for Sustainable Transport EMBARQ – WRI (World Resources Institute), who act as our institutional partners.
