Today REN21 published its annual overview of the state of renewable energy. The Renewables 2016 Global Status Report reveals that renewables are now firmly established as competitive, mainstream sources of energy in many countries around the world.

On December 22nd 2015, the United Nations General Assembly unanimously adopted a new Resolution entitled “Towards comprehensive cooperation among all modes of transport for promoting multimodal transit corridors”. The resolution was initiated by the Government of Turkmenistan and co-sponsored by 85 United Nations (UN) member states.
The SLoCaT Partnership observed the negotiations in COP21 and published daily reports to report on the negotiations from a Transport perspective. We have now completed our initial assessment of the Paris Agreement and the associated COP21 decision. A more complete and definite report will be issued early 2016.
