8th Women and Transport Africa Conference (WTA 2026)
The 8th Women and Transport Africa Conference, organised by Flone Initiative, takes place from 2 to 4 December 2026. WTA has become a leading continental platform advancing gender-responsive, inclusive, and climate-resilient mobility systems across Africa. The 2026 edition will convene over 400 stakeholders from across the continent and beyond to drive action at the intersection of transport, gender equality, climate action, innovation, and economic inclusion. The conference brings together governments, development partners, foundations, the private sector, academia, mobility innovators, and civil society to co-create solutions, shape policy, and accelerate Africa’s sustainable transport transition.
