Note to editors

This report was developed by the Partnership on Sustainable Low Carbon Transport (SLoCaT).  This partnership was established in 2009 with the aim to promote the integration of sustainable transport in global policy processes on sustainable development and climate change. With over 80 members representing a range of constiuencies (UN organizations, multilateral development banks, NGOs, private sector, government and academe) SLoCaT is the largest multistakeholder partnership on sustainable transport. Its members collectively spend about $ 20 billion on promoting more sustainable transport through loans and grants in over 150 countries and jointly SLoCaT members employ well over a 1000 persons working on sustainable transport on a day-to-day basis.

The SLoCaT Partnership was instrumental in the development of the Rio+20 Voluntary Commitments on Sustainable Transport.
