High-level Dialogue on Sustainable Cities, Transport and Tourism & Global Forum on Human Settlements 2014 was successfully held on 10-12 Aug. 2014 in the Capital of Colombia, Bogota. This high level international conference that is aimed at implementing Rio+20 Decisions is taking place as the follow-up event and commemorate the second anniversary of what is popularly known as the Rio+20 summit.
The United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development (Habitat III) will seek renewed political commitment for sustainable urban development, assessing accomplishments to date, addressing poverty and identifying as well as new and emerging urban challenges in a global setting. Thus, the Conference will focus on adjusting, innovating and transcending the Habitat Agenda, while building on relevant international development goals, including those outcomes of major United Nations conferences and summits.

This International Expert Meeting on September 14th will be the first formal meeting of the interdisciplinary Expert Group organized by the TRANSfer project on Transport and Climate Finance.

The third edition of the African Association of Public Transport (UATP) Congress and Exhibition will be held in Johannesburg, South Africa from Sep 30 to Oct 3, 2014. The theme of the congress will be "Growing Africa through an effective public transport system".

Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research are pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the international conference “Climate Change and Transport” to be held October 9th and 10th, 2014 at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Karlsruhe, Germany. The deadline for receipt of abstracts is April 18th, 2014. Paper abstracts, giving a concise overview of the topic to be covered and the method of analysis, should be about one page long.
