Retreat: Sustainable Transport and the Post-2015 Development Framework

The Missions of Thailand, Kenya and the Netherlands, in cooperation with United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN-DESA) and the Partnership on Sustainable, Low Carbon Transport (SLoCaT) hosted a retreat on Sustainable Transport and the post-2015 Development Framework on June 10-11 in New York.

United Nations Post-2015 Summit

The United Nations summit for the adoption of the Post-2015 Development Agenda will be held from 25 to 27 September 2015, which is the target date for realizing the SDGs, in New York and convened as a high-level plenary meeting of the General Assembly.

21st Conference of the Parties (COP21)

In 2015, France will be hosting and presiding the 21st Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP21/CMP11), otherwise known as “Paris 2015” from November 30th to December 11th. COP21 will be a crucial conference, as it needs to achieve a new international agreement on the climate, applicable to all countries, with the aim of keeping global warming below 2°C.

German Habitat Forum with Transport Focus (Berlin)

Sustainable urban solutions will play a key role with a view to achieving both the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and international climate change targets over the next decades. The German Habitat Forum will provide a platform for discussion on how to design sustainable solutions for cities in the future, and will look at the key aspects of 'mobility' and 'urban infrastructure'.
