SLOCAT as Focal Point for Transport Community Facilitation in UNFCCC
Under the leadership of the High-Level Climate Champions, the Marrakech Partnership for Global Climate Action (MPGCA) supports the implementation of the Paris Agreement by enabling collaboration between governments and the cities, regions, businesses and investors that must act on climate change.
Serving as Co-Focal Point of the Transport Thematic Group jointly with the International Transport Forum (ITF), SLOCAT establishes the transport community as an essential partner in MPGCA. SLOCAT’s mandate was renewed by appointment by transport sector peers in 2020.

MPGCA Transport Climate Action Pathways 2021
Initially launched in 2019, the thematic Climate Action Pathways outline the longer-term vision for a 1.5-degree climate-resilient world from the perspective of non-Party stakeholders and set out actions needed to achieve that future.
Vision and Summary | Action Table | Messages of support 2021
SLOCAT coordinated the revision of the Pathways in 2021 jointly with ITF, supported by Sasank Vemuri (MobiliseYourCity) and Nadja Taeger (GIZ), with contributions from a wide range of transport community stakeholders.
