Together with partners in the SLOCAT Task Force on Transport Community Engagement in the UNFCCC, the Secretariat is implementing the SLOCAT Strategy for Engagement in UNFCCC 2021-2025. Towards COP27, SLOCAT strives to achieve:

• Enhanced engagement with the Egypt COP27 Presidency and Egyptian High-Level Climate Action Champion.
• High credibility, influence and increased cooperation with other actors within and beyond the transport community (e.g. urban sustainability, renewables, health)
• Broadened electrification discussions within Zero Emission Vehicles Transition Council, including Global South perspectives.
• Strengthened relationships with relevant entities in (or working with) Egypt and UAE, in collaboration with SLOCAT Partners.
• Continue our ongoing service as official Co-Focal Point for the Transport Sector in the Marrakech Partnership for Global Climate Action.
