Urban Mobility in India

The Urban Mobility India (UMI) Conference and Expo is an annual event with the overarching theme which runs across all the aspects of urban mobility and is organized by the Institute of Urban Transport (India) under the aegis of the Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India. UMI is mandated by the National Urban Transport Policy of the Government of India, 2006 (NUTP). The objective of UMI is to bring together urban transport professionals and officials in the country as well as international experts to enable them to share views and to share their experiences.

Africa Transport Policy Forum

The first Africa Transport Policy Forum that will take place in Dakar, Senegal, from December 10 to 11, 2013.  The forum is a 2-day learning event that will give participants a unique opportunity to learn about and discuss high-priority transport policy issues in Africa. This event will be open to all interested participants.  

The 4th Global Infrastructure Basel (GIB) Summit 2014

The 4th Global Infrastructure Basel (GIB) Summit 2014 will be held at the Congress Center Basel in Switzerland on 21-22 May 2014. We expect approx. 500 participants from about 50 countries. Partners are, amongst others, the Swiss State Secretariat of Economic Affairs SECO, the World Bank, the UNEP Finance Initiative, the China Development Bank, the China International Contractors Association, the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group, the Inter-American Development Bank, ICLEI etc.

Enabling Change: The German Partnership for Sustainable Mobility

The Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) are launching their new initiative “German Partnership for Sustainable Mobility” (GPSM). The GPSM is serving as a guide for sustainable mobility and green logistics solutions from Germany.

The Michelin Challenge Bibendum 2014

After traveling for the first time to Rio de Janeiro in 2010, then to Berlin for the 2011 edition, the Michelin Challenge Bibendum is returning to China for its 2014 edition, which will take place in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan, from November 11 to 14.

The Michelin Challenge Bibendum is an innovative and collaborative think and action tank aimed at promoting better life through sustainable mobility. It is nurtured by two complementary initiatives:

COP 20

COP 20 will take place between 1-12 December in Peru, Lima.
