The Global Transport Intelligence  (GTI) initiative is a joint initiative of several organizations which are involved in the collection, analysis and dissemination of data on transport in the developing countries.  It was developed by the Partnership on Sustainable Low Carbon Transport (SLoCaT) as part of its efforts to make transport in developing countries more accessible, cleaner, safer and less carbon intensive.

Currently GTI consists of: Asian Development Bank; Clean Air Initiative for Asian Cities; International Association of Public Transport, Inter-American Development Bank; International Energy Agency; International Road Federation; International Transport Forum; German Development Cooperation; Korean Transport Institute; Latin American Development Bank; Partnership on Sustainable, Low Carbon Transport; and the United Nations Department for Economic and Social Affairs.

An initial planning meeting was conducted on May 2, 2011 in Paris hosted by the International Energy Agency.
