SLoCaT promotes low carbon transport in Latin America

SLoCaT took part in two large events related to sustainable transport in Latin America. The first of these was the CTS Embarq Congress on Sustainable Transport that took place during the week of october 13 in Mexico City, the second was the Latin American Congress of Public Transport (CLATPU) during the week of october 19 in Rosario, Argentina.

In these events, SLoCaT representative Carlosfelipe Pardo from Despacio participated in a total of seven sessions related to SLoCaT’s work and its members’ projects, one specifically aimed at the SLoCaT Results Framework and getting feedback from Latin American participants on its content, reach and their potential participation/inputs in climate change – related meetings in order to include transport as a relevant topic of the SDGs. 

SLoCaT also had a booth at the CTS Embarq Congress where material related to the Partnership and its Results Framework was distributed, along with announcements of Transport Day in Lima. In addition, IDB and CAF had meetings related to sustainable transport where SLoCaTsupported. SLoCaT also gave inputs to CAF’s transport strategy and its inclusion of the Results Framework.
