Our Regional Work at a Glance
The regional level is an important space for translating the transport aspects of international climate and sustainable development frameworks into local implementation, based on a region’s specific context, needs, and priorities. Regional spaces also provide for more nuanced dialogue and sharing of experiences and best practices among stakeholders working in similar political, social, and economic realities. These exchanges can often go beyond the more politically complex and theoretical conversations that are common at the global level, and provide practical ideas on how to overcome key barriers and accelerate the implementation of transformative sustainable, low carbon transport policies and measures.
